Our Philosophy!
Camera’s don’t take pictures, people do!
“If you can shoot well, all you need is a disposable, toy camera or a camera phone to create great work. ……. It’s always better to spend your time and money on learning art and photography, not by spending it on more cameras.” – Ken Rockwell
We firmly believe that Camera is only a tool. To create great pictures, you need to nurture your creative vision and understand the nuances of light and composition. The aim of this workshop is to help you understand what goes into making a picture interesting and stand out.
Our Experiential Learning Centre:
PhotoIndia.com brings to you an immersive, Two-Day Residential-Workshop on the ‘Basics of Photography & the Art of Seeing’. The workshop is held at our spacious, well-equipped studio, located on the outskirts of Pune by the Khadakwasla Lake. The studio is set amidst sylvan surroundings, overlooking the pristine lake, away from the humdrum and traffic of the city. We have put together this facility with a lot of love and care with the aim of creating the right kind of ambience, conducive for artistic pursuits and learning. This is where we do our professional shoots for leading clients and therefore the participants get to see and experience live-shoots in progress.
Our studio has a lot of interesting spaces and extensive photography gear for you to explore. The day starts with a classroom session in which you will be familiarized with all the concepts. There would be numerous hands-on sessions, where you would get an opportunity to clarify anything that you would like to know about your camera. You would also get to explore the various modes of your camera and shown how to use your camera in the manual mode for creative control. On the second day, you will mostly spend time taking pictures and working on the concepts that you had learnt on the first day. Depending on the season and the weather conditions, we take the participants for a hands-on learning session to an interesting location around the studio.
Our Base at Kudje Village on the outskirts of Pune is perhaps the perfect place to start on a personal adventure of photographic discovery.
